Leighton Primary is energetically pursuing its aim of familiarising its pupils with aspects of european life and is continuing its German language programme.

CANTA has helped by using its contacts in Mâcon and Bischofsheim to provide materials and facilitate school links.

Currently Andrea Price, the programme leader, is trying to establish e-mail links with the "Mangold Schule" in Bischofsheim.

Andrea puts on an annual Christmas concert with her pupils. Included in the concert this year are traditional German carols. CANTA members attended a performance for the school. Later in the week they performed at Bentley Motors.
